You bring the question. We bring the method.
Each year, four community-based organizations are selected for a full applied research partnership with SEEN AI Systems. Partnerships are free to the community and are anchored in a written commitment to independence, transparency, and return of knowledge.
What a year with SEEN looks like.
- Step 01Scoping (Q1)
We meet on your ground. Together we clarify the question worth studying, the environment, and what a good outcome would mean for your community.
- Step 02Protocol (Q1–Q2)
The research protocol is co-written and reviewed by our network. Data-stewardship, consent, and ethics are documented before fieldwork begins.
- Step 03Fieldwork (Q2–Q3)
We work in place, with your staff, over months. Findings are held provisionally and revisited with community reviewers.
- Step 04Return of knowledge (Q4)
You receive the findings first — in briefings, plain-language reports, and working sessions — before anything is published.
Written into every partnership.
Community partners never pay for a SEEN study. Sponsorship covers the work.
You see and respond to the findings before any external audience does.
Sponsors do not direct or edit findings. Ever.
Data-stewardship and consent are agreed in writing before fieldwork begins.
Partners we look for.
- You are rooted in a community you know deeply and are accountable to.
- You have a real question about how AI is showing up in the lives of the people you serve.
- You can name a small team who can work with us in place over the study year.
- You want research done with you, not on you or about you.
"The community that lives with the answer should be the one that shaped the question."
